United States Coast Guard Embarks on Milestone Renewable Energy Project with Schneider Electric
Worth $50 million, largest photovoltaic project the United States Coast Guard has undertaken to date; largest Schneider Electric performance contract ever announced
DALLAS – August 10, 2011 – Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, announced today it is implementing a comprehensive $50 million energy savings performance contract (ESPC) project for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) in Puerto Rico. The project will improve operations for on-base personnel and mitigate maintenance and design burdens, meet renewable energy mandates without direct capital costs and stabilize energy costs and security in 960,000 square feet of USCG facilities including Rio Bayamon housing, Air Station Borinquen and Air Station Borinquen housing. North American Geothermal Deal of the Year 2010
EnergySource, a consortium of Catalyst Renewables, Hannon Armstrong and GeoGlobal Energy, closed the debt financing for the $401.3 million Hudson Ranch I geo¬thermal power project on 13 May 2010. The project is progressing well and on budget with drilling underway on the third production well.

Hannon Armstrong Capital, LLC, Truestone, LLC and TE SubCom, an industry pioneer in undersea communications technology, today announced they have completed construction and commissioning of the HANTRU1 Cable System. Hannon Armstrong finances biomass cogeneration facility and attends ground breaking ceremony with U.S. Secretary of Energy at SRS.
Hannon Armstrong attended the ground breaking on a new energy plant Savannah River Site in South Carolina along with U.S. Secretary of Energy, Dr. Steven Chu. Site leaders claim the initial construction of the facility will create 800 jobs, and over time, mean hundreds of millions of dollars in energy savings. But, they say the biggest savings, is the innovation of this kind of green energy that they claim will eventually mean savings on the power bill, for the entire country.
